A Fathers Heart
After a busy week we moved our son and his partner back home for a while, I don't know why at times like this I am reminded that Mother Teresa carried all her worldly possessions in a carrier bag. But some of us seem to accumulate possessions at an alarming rate, not realising until the crunch comes when you have to move it from A to B how much we have.
A line in a song says "Wherever I lay my hat that's my home"
Jesus said in
Matthew 8:20"Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head."
The really important things in life cannot be bought or stored in some excess area until space is created by shifting stuff around or offloading to a jumble sale or Charity shop.
Having just (I use the term loosely)celebrated Fathers day, the love of a good father is a priceless commodity.
Today in Church we saw a short video that left everyone in tears.
Watch it and realise what is important to you.
