Sow what??

I bought some grass seed yesterday, nothing amazing about that, but opening the box looking at all those seeds waiting to be sown.It's marvellous how they stay dormant until the time comes for them to be scattered. It's only then, that the life within them bursts out, and they fulfil their purpose.

Alpha is up and running and I here encouraging feedback. People like seeds need the right environment for their spiritual life to grow and develop, but we must be careful and not take all this good news at face value as the Parable of the sower teaches us.We as (mature) Christians need to play our part in the growth process, we are all still growing, and the experiences we go through help us to help others.

"And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable: a sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it. And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture. And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it. And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear."—Luke 8:4-8.
