VICTORY

Watching England last night, getting through to the final of the Rugby World Cup, was amazing they started the tournament as total outsiders,but have proved even their most loyal,doubtful fans wrong.Their determination, skill and courage carried them through against the odds.

There is something very satisfying knowing your on the winning side, not a smugness or a sense of arrogance but when victory comes after a competition or battle, victory is certainly worth celebrating. When sacrifice is part of that victory as so often on the battlefield there is an element of sadness but in our case as Christians we have even more to celebrate. our victory came with the ultimate sacrifice, but Jesus who made that ultimate sacrifice conquered death so we can be part of those wonderful victory celebrations that live on in our daily lives.
